If you have a garden party, you should be able to enjoy it without thinking about the garden.

Why should you have to spend hours of your time tidying up the lawn to organize a party? The garden should be at your service, not the other way around.

FAQ

  • Q1 Is Ambrogio safe?
    A

Yes, it is. However, we recommend you to check that there are no objects under 10 cm in height on the ground that could damage the lawnmower. Most important, please keep out of children's reach.

  • Q2 Is the perimeter wire safe or is it possible to be electrocuted?
    A

The cable is absolutely safe, only low-voltage power runs through it, just enough for the robot to recognize the working area with no risk to people.

  • Q3 Is it possible to bury the perimeter wire?
    A

Yes, it is possible to bury the cable a few cm deep. Please note that it should not be buried deeper than 3-4cm, because the signal is stronger if the cable is buried as close as possible to the surface. Please remember that the cable have to be unearthed two meters before the recharge station.

  • Q4 In what way does Ambrogio recognize where it should cut?
    A

Ambrogio sensors pick up the signal passing through the wire placed on the perimeter of the lawn and determine the working area. Versions equipped with grass sensors recognize the presence of the lawn without going over its boundaries.

  • Q5 Is it safe for people?
    A

Yes, it is. Ambrogio is certificated in compliance with EU regulations. It stops working if it is lifted or overturned. None-the-less, please handle with care and keep out of children's reach.

  • Q6 What is the cutting width?
    A

The cut width can be 25 cm, 29 cm or 36 cm, depending on the version.

  • Q7 How long will a cutting blade last?
    A

A blade's life depends on grass type and lawn size. For a 3000 square meter lawn, a blade will last approximately two years. The blade replacement is a quick operation and requires only fixing four screws. The blade should be sharpened when necessary (approximately every 1-2 months).

  • Q8 Can Ambrogio's recharging station be positioned anywhere?
    A

Yes, but it is necessary to follow the instructions provided in the user's manual. Please check that the power pack is not exposed to rain, direct sunlight or heat. The power supply must be well ventilated.

  • Q9 How can I do the seasonal maintenance?
    A

It is necessary to clean the underbody on a regular basis and to check that its cutting blade is properly screwed in. It is also necessary to periodically lubricate the front wheel bearings and the cutting engine; you should also double-check that Ambrogio's insertion in the recharging station is correctly performed. At the end of the season, along with all the regular required maintenance checks, it is necessary to remove the rear wheels, to grease the bearings and to use the winter recharge kit to preserve batteries. It is advisable to do the winter maintenance in specialized centers.

  • Q10 What happens in case the power is suddenly off in the perimeter wire or a short circuit occurs?
    A

Ambrogio will immediately stop and, as soon as power is re-established, it will start working again.

  • Q11 My garden is on a hill. Can Ambrogio work on a slope?
    A

Yes. Ambrogio works well on lawns with a slope gradient up to 27°-30° (depending on the version) without losing speed or power and with no risk of overturn. We recommend that you to use the wheel clutches in these cases.

  • Q12 How long does it take to recharge the batteries?
    A

Ambrogio's automatic versions will look for their recharging station and will restart working in about three and a half hours; while semiautomatic robots have to be carried to the re-charging station and they need approximately 3 hours before you can use them again.

  • Q13 How long does it take to mow the lawn?
    A

Ambrogio mows approximately 300-400 square meters per working hour. In order to have the best results and a well mown lawn, it is recommended to let the robot work every day; semiautomatic versions need to mow the lawn at least 3 times a week.

  • Q14 Does Ambrogio work well with high grass?
    A

Ambrogio was designed to maintain the grass at the desired height. If the grass is 2-3 cm higher than the cutting blade height from the ground, you need to raise the cutting disk; otherwise, you will need to manually mow the lawn before using the robot.

  • Q15 How long will the batteries last?
    A

It depends on several conditions and on the lawn area you need to mow; if properly used according to the specifications, batteries can last up to 2 years or more. Batteries are included in the robot and the price you pay to buy a new battery is lower than the fuel cost for a regular lawnmower or a small tractor.

  • Q16 Does Ambrogio work when it rains?
    A

Ambrogio does not work when it rains to prevent damaging the grass. The versions equipped with a rain sensor can be programmed to return to the recharge station with its blade turned off.

  • Q17 Can the cut height be adjusted?
    A

Yes, the cut height may be adjusted from 2 up to 10 cm (depending on the version).
